The beginning of Salesxtrim
SalesXtrim is a great idea from Frans and Simone Van Muijen who thought that such a service would be the solution for Ugandan who are looking for and also wanting to Advertise their products and services but can not afford radio, television, Billboards and News papers.
This came to their minds while in Uganda during their visit in July 2008.
This sounded like a very brilliant idea to the SX developers who joined
their skills and came up with this very easy to use web application. SX is a local classified site where you can look for items for sale, services, cars, jobs, housing, and more.
At SalesXtrim, we believe that this is a network where people with different products and service meet potential clients without going through a middleman. We bridge the connection between you and the person you want to buy from, employ, and or interact with.
On many occasions we have seen people advertising their cars for sale by simply putting a note which reads "FOR SALE" on the windscreen. By doing so, they miss out many interested buyers simply because this is not an effective way to market or advertise such kind of products.
Online advertising has proven 100% efficient since your product is displayed to millions of Internet user across the globe. With this and many more benefits of Internet advertising, we took up the mantle to bring Frans and Simone van Muijen's idea to life by developing SalesXtrim.com.

 I am a final year student of both Aptech Computer Education and Sikkim Manipal University, pursuing an Advanced Diploma in software Engineering and Bachelors of Science in Information technology respectively. For the last two years I have been involved in numerous professional web development projects for a number of companies, schools and other institutions. I have also worked as a verification assistant for NSSF on a year's contract, which ended June 2008. From that time to date, I resorted to working as a freelance programmer which has made me firm in web based programming. Salesxtrim is one of the many projects I have worked on and which posses as the greatest, challenging and interesting project ever.
With a high command in MySQL, PHP, JavaScript, .NET, DHTML, XML, CSS and many other web application development languages, the management of SX trusted me to be "main chief Architect" of this wonderful web application.
Today I really feel very grateful that we have someone like you reading this information, and enjoying the many benefits of the services provided by SX. Personally I feel, this website will help you and many other Ugandans sell off their products and services by simply posting free Ads here. Being in the computer field for a long time has made me see lots of great innovations in this sector in the rapidly growing nation of Uganda. I got inspired to join the computer field when I was still a student in my secondary school in 1995, those days it was rare to have a computer in "Third world" schools like mine.
This inspiration challenged me to be one of those kids who really got addicted to the computers, with the help of Frank Velthuizen who came with these apple magic machines, I slowly ventured in the IT world. In those days the Internet was unheard of in Uganda, I remember the first time I saw a webpage from the Internet, I went nuts. I had never seen anything like it before and from that time on, my addiction to the computers became worse "beyond cure".
I started coding from scratch with Basic HTML with the help of Fitti Wasglas, and this introduced me to my first partner in IT Nasser Ssenyonga, our combination came up with JONA COMPUTERS (U) LTD which employs me to date.
With support from The Muijen Family in Holland, I enrolled at Aptech Computer Educated and there I pursued an Advanced Diploma in Systems Management and Software Development.
I have worked for several IT companies in Kampala before concentrating on JONA COMPUTERS (U) LTD two years ago.
I have developed numerous web applications for organizations, individuals, schools, churches, to mention afew and have a high command in PHP, MySql, Oracle, Computer Graphics, .NET, Java, JavaScript, ASP.NET and very well versed with MCSE Windows 2000 - 2003 Network Administration Certification.
